RAC and Autofirst partner for independent garage network

Participating garages will have access to a large suit of RAC products and be given repair work by their breakdown patrols.

RAC and Autofirst partner for independent garage network

The RAC and Autofirst have partnered up to create the UK’s biggest independent garage network.

500 garages, a mix of those already approved by the RAC and existing Autofirst network members, are already onboard, a number which is expected to exceed 650 by April 2019.

Each garage that joins will have access to a whole suit of RAC products including in-depth technical training, support from a dedicated account manager, a technical hotline and its dedicated garage management system.

They’ll also all be offered repair work via the RAC’s Warranty Scheme and referrals from their breakdown patrols through the Accredited Repairer scheme.

A listing on WhoCanFixMyCar.com will open up even more opportunities nationwide.

Sign-ups for new members are currently being accepted and to be eligible garages will need to offer servicing and repairs, employ qualified technicians, agree to undergo a yearly inspection and adhere to the RAC’s Customer Charter and Code of Conduct.

“We know from market research that customers really value the friendly, local and reliable service provided by independent garages and have a very high level of trust in the RAC so this is the perfect recipe for garages looking to stand out from the crowd in a busy marketplace,” said the RAC’s chief executive Dave Hobday.
